Nano Banana is out and making waves. It’s all about creating or editing images fast, with realism, and keeping consistency even after multiple changes. I think it is the best so far!
So here’s how you can get started
1.Open Google AI Studio / Gemini app
Log in with your Google account. From AI Studio or in the Gemini app, look for the “Try Nano Banana” option. (Sometimes it’s labelled under Gemini 2.5 Flash Image or a banana icon. )
2.Upload a photo or use a text prompt
If you have a photo (yourself, your pet, etc.), upload a good-quality, well-lit image. If you don’t have a photo, you can use a descriptive prompt (text only) to create something from scratch. 3.Write a detailed prompt
The more detail, the better the results. For example, for the viral figurine trend people are doing prompts like:
“A realistic 1/7 scale figurine of the pictured character, standing on a clear acrylic base on a clean desk. Soft lighting, textures visible. Packaging box behind with illustrations. Natural shadows.”
4.Generate and review
Click generate & see what comes back (usually in seconds). If something’s off (pose, background, facial features), tweak your prompt or upload another image. Nano Banana holds onto likeness really well, so you can make multiple edits without losing identity. 5.Download / share
Once you like your image, you can download it and share. Because of its viral appeal, many people are using Nano Banana outputs for social posts.
Tips & What works best
Use a clean, well-lit photo so the AI can understand details like facial features, texture, and posture. Be specific in your prompt - mention materials, lighting, environment (desk, studio, etc.), even packaging details if you want a product/figurine style. For multiple edits: change one thing at a time in the prompt so you can maintain consistency. Because Nano Banana remembers earlier edits better than many older models. Possible limitations
With many edits, sometimes fine details can shift (pose, clothing wrinkles, minor inconsistencies). If you use the free plan / app version, you’ll often see a watermark.Highly detailed prompts help, but more complexity can sometimes slow things or produce unexpected background artifacts.
